About Me
Hi, Iām Helen
One of my lifelong passions is understanding how the mind and body work. My learning has led me to understand that the simplest and most significant changes, those associated with changes to the way we breathe, can offer dramatic improvements to quality of our life.
With a conventional start in Life Science, I graduated in Pharmacology and worked in the pharmaceutical industry with life taking me in many directions, including research, marketing and technical support within the healthcare industry.
After 20 years, seeking a better work-life balance I switched to teaching Maths & Science at a London comprehensive school, before moving to the Presteigne area to set up a local Field to Fork food and farming business (Weobley Ash) with my husband, which further informed my passion for food, nutrition and health.
Keeping up to date with developments in nutrition, medical and neuro sciences, I have spent recent years studying breathing and mental health, choosing to focus on breathing for its broad and positive impact on all aspects of physical and mental health.
My aim now is to make accessible to everyone the knowledge of the simple changes that can give you more energy, as well as protection and relief from many common ailments. I want to encourage everyone to recognise the huge control we have over our health and wellbeing, which are possible with some simple changes.
Not just what to do, but why, all backed by science.
